Since our inception in 2015, Project 16 has served over a thousand underprivileged K-12 students in Dallas-Fort Worth through our educational and experiential programs meant to help them reach higher and aim farther toward fulfilling studies and careers. We’ve certainly made significant strides over the years, but we believe our mission to change the world one child at a time would go even farther with your Company as an official Corporate Sponsor of our 3rd Annual Fundraiser and Local Love Awards on March 23, 2019 at the Omni Hotel in Downtown Dallas.
The Local Love Awards began in 2017 as an initiative to honor small, local businesses while also raising money to facilitate the general programming of Project 16, which has become widely requested from nearby school districts. This formal gala will showcase over a dozen of Dallas’ most influential leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals, and feature many new award categories and industries including legal services, education, technology, health and wellness and more. We are committed to showcasing the very best of Dallas-Fort Worth to our youth, and you are a part of that narrative.
This year’s event theme of “Aspire Higher” will cater to 500 guests, including two dozen deserving students from our program. Our primary objective for including students as guests at this gala is to inspire them to consider the many career opportunities available beyond graduation. What better way to do so than by showing them shining examples of professional excellence in one of the most elegant venues in the city? Year after year, Project 16 has been blessed to have the consistent support and attendance of dozens of celebrities including NFL Hall of Fame Inductee, Deion Sanders; IBF Welterweight Champion, Errol Spence, Jr; McDonald’s proprietor, Roland Parrish; TV Analyst and Attorney, Yodit Tewolde, and many more who help make this experience extra special for our children and teens.
At this year’s event, we’re aiming even higher in our annual fundraising with a goal of $100,000. Through this funding, we can dig deeper into our well of resources and creativity to offer youth from the most underserved communities valuable experience via our new I Am What I See Career Exploration Program, Early Entrepreneurs Program for Teens, Creative Camps and the addition of college tours beginning in Fall 2019. These programs will allow Project 16 to create ongoing partnerships with public and charter school districts to focus on the students that need the most attention, exposure and support.
As a Sponsor of the Local Love Awards, participants are asked to provide a financial contribution at one of the designated participation levels featured here, and in turn we will promote your company as an event official sponsor. Our Committee has taken care to provide a wide variety of levels of participation, but also welcome the opportunity to discuss the creation of a custom Sponsorship Package that would meet the specific needs of your business. Please be mindful that the deadline to confirm participation with payment is February 23, 2019.
With your company by our side in 2019, we are sure to achieve this season’s fundraising goal and continue serving the bright students and communities of Dallas-Fort Worth well.
I look forward to speaking with you directly to confirm your support of Project 16 this Spring.
